Journal 4: My Favorite Movie

Talking about movies, share an interesting movie you have watched in English. Please describe in a few sentences what it was about. Make sure you add reasons why you liked the movie and what was not so appealing. Very brief reply would lead to loss of points) This discussion would be a good chance to get ideas for what other movies to watch. You may share names and details of more than one movie.

Journal 3: Life in Houston

Tell us what you like /don't like about this city, Houston...


Some of you are quite new in this huge city while some of you have stayed here for a few years. Share your experiences of life in Houston. Let's focus on the positives, but you may also include the difficulties you faced settling in here. Give details and vivid description. You must pay attention to following:

  1. It is time we start looking at the sentence structure and correct use of grammar. Please go to Grammarly https://app.grammarly.com/ and log in using your Google account.   2. Read everyone's comments and reply back to at least two students. Don't just type a word or phrase. Put details of what you want to say or ask your classmates.
  3. This blog is due on Tuesday, February 21st. It is worth 10 points. So post your comment by Thursday, Feb. 23rd and go back and read others comments and reply to at least two students' comments by Thursday, Feb. 23rd. Late completion is subject to loss of grades.

Welcome to ESOL Writing 3 Blog! This blog is especially for my ESOL Writing 3 students. I would like to you type your journal entries here and enjoy reading your classmates' journal entries. Please do encourage each other and comment on your classmates' posts. This blog is like your journal where you will type your comments on assigned topics, and you are also required to comment on at least two other students posts.
